My Kindle

My favourite piece of technology is my Kindle. Well actually, there are other things that are useful and in my everyday life and that I like a lot but my Kindle has special value for me.
I bought my Kindle about 15 years ago. It's the first version and with Kindle Fire and the newest ones you can do lots of things because they're very similar to a Tablet, but I can't with mine. I have over a hundred books on it and my Kindle is not enabled for different alphabets so I can't have books in Japanese which is a shame, but well there is a reason why it's very important for me...
I bought my Kindle the first year I started working and had a contract. It was kind of expensive at the time but it was a dream come true to be able to have so many books in such a light device. It's much lighter than a lot of the books I have and it meant having extensive knowledge at hand.
My Kindle gave me a sense of pride because I had made it possible with my own work. It also allowed me to carry my passion everywhere I went, without hurting my back!
